Breeding of the week!
This week's breeding is turning out to be some of my biggest stock! I just didn't believe it would turn out so nicely. The hen is a cobby hen. Pearl pied. She has a good head and body but is lacking anything in between (a neck). She comes from two Grandchampions. Her mother is 2004 Grandchampion "Brittany" from Keith Reimers "Fabulous Four" pied line. Her mother is also from 2006 Grandchampion 16P-143-03. He is a great pearl pied/wf from Philip Feret's pied line. He has carried in some nice size to babies.
The male of these babies is a normal/cinnamon. I love this male as he has a great crest that soars where most crests have not soared before. Again, this male is from "Brandy" from Keith Reimer's "Fabulous Four" pied line and is the full sister to the above "Brittany". His father is a male owned by Ree Maple named "Hawk". Hawk had style and head and gives this to his son. I then linebred for Keith Reimers pied hoping to get really good pieds. I was surprised to see that the pied line was not unbelievably marked but they all have good size on them. The oldest baby (a normal around 8 weeks of age) is VERY nice and should do well both as a breeder and as a show prospect.
If you are interested in this line, please send me a line at klaviary@showtiels.com. This line can't be duplicated by anyone else and we are very proud of it!
